Yet another Arkie recently arrived here via combat with a recalcitrant Spambot Detector which was finally conquered with help from your esteemed Forum Administrator, Neil Weiss. Neil, thanks for your help--- It was appreciated! Now retired from the music business, I'm looking to get back into Metal Detecting and get out of the house more and back into the "swing" of things. I've visited this site many times and finally took the plunge and glad to be here. My basic expertise is Civil War relics, though I am not above keeping anything of value found along the way. My old home made metal detector that my father hand built in 1955 using plans from Heathkit still functions but the batteries for it are no longer made, so I'm finally looking to upgrade. I'm glad to be here and thanks for allowing me to join your ranks!
