Im 50 and feel like I've just discovered a true passion I never knew existed. What started as a hobby during covid quarantine has turned into a full blown obsession! I'm no longer able to walk a straight line cause I'm always looking down for new treasures. I'm a Northern California native that has been taken by surprise as to the number of minerals and rocks this state has! I thrive on learning and am a excited to see what I can find. Any insite from others knowledge is more than welcome and much appreciated. Thanks for the space to gather with like minded individuals. I look forward to the interactions from here.

If you are closer to Nevada there are a lot of good spots in the mountains. One is called crystal peak, the military used to mine it for crystals for their radios. It’s open to the public now and fun time digging for some nice crystals!
