Newbie in Maryland....pleased to meet ya!

I've been a forum member for years but I'm still pretty new to detecting and new to Maryland. I just moved here from California and I'm looking to find detecting/treasure hunting buddies in the Maryland, DC, N. Virginia area. I have a Minelab Explorer II but I'm still a novice. I can't tell you how many 2003 pennies I have dug and aluminum pull tabs and lead fishing weights. I am the world heavyweight champion of digging two foot holes to get one shiny penny!

Anyway, I'm a nice guy, laid back and old enough to have an achy back after digging for hours. i love research and I would love to join a local club and meet like minded people.
