It seems that St. Pete Beach is good to go, but I read some caveats that you can't detect in the wet sand or in the water.

Clearwater Beach seems to need a permit, but according to this it seems all permits are suspended until further notice due to Hurricane Helene
(Deleted for rule violation.)

If any of you can fill me in, I'd appreciate it.

I plan to metal detect around for my Bday (up from Sarasota)

Cfauvel, no spam it violates our rules and can get you banned.,

What spam? it is literally the Clearwater Beach's Metal Detecting permit application site.

When I looked before it was link to download the app "smartsheet.com", when I clicked on it Clearwater didnt come up, maybe it was due to the recent upgrade still being tweeked, as now when I look at the deleted line it is the Clearwater Beach's Metal Detecting permit application as you said.

Just FYI when a post is deleted or edited it is still there for admins to see, just not visible to members. I don't permanently delete anything, I just make it invisible.

I looked at what I posted on reddit too and yeah there were two hyperlinks created....one for Clearwater Permit and one for downloading smartsheets..... so I can see how that would look. As long as the original question is not deleted that is the goal.

I would restore your original version, but there is bug that needs to be fixed first. We can restore whole post or threads right now, but there is issue at moment of being able to restore just a line or word.

Since you reposted the Clearwater info not really a need to restore the original sentence.

I am glad you were able to see what I saw, so you know I was being sincere.
