Newbie finds gold

Hello all, I have been reading and enjoying the posts on this forum for a few months now. What a terrific site and a great bunch of people. I got my first detector late last year, a White?s QXT, and been having a blast with it. My best find was on my second trip out of the yard. I found some clad coins and this nifty ring. I use to hate wearing rings, but this one fits me perfect and just looking at it makes me want to get out there and see what else is buried and waiting for me to find. I know I wont find valuables every time out, but hay, I was having fun just finding the quarters. Good luck to all of you and keep those posts an pictures coming.

Very nice. What's the odd's that the first ring you find is one that will fit your finger? Keep it up and HH.

Would guess they're full cut diam. about 5 pt each about 1/4 ct. total and band is 14k comfort fit. Just a guess.

I assumed that they were. I did some reading about diamonds and convinced myself that they were. But to be sure I'll have a Jeweler take a look, maybe sometime this week and let ya know.

If it makes you feel any better I have yet to find a gold anything or just a ring. I'v found jewelry but noting of substance. This year will be out lucky year I can feel it in my aching bonesssss.

It helps if you know HOW to find it! Also, some detectors are better suited for finding it than others (higher freq. detectors sense gold better/easier)!
