I have always been into treasure hunting but never had the know how to do so, or know where to even look. I have been reading many post on here and many other sites about treasure hunting. I decided at 22 its now or never lol. So i went out and bought a metal detector ( whites ) i forget the model, but the guy told me that this would be the best of the best. 500.00 later I'm sitting here with a metal detector and no place to go. So I bought some books and things to lead me to any site that was close and give it a shot. I have a house in Lake Havasu AZ so I hoped on my dirt bike and set off. I went to some old mines about 15 miles from the road and set up. I found a few ( I think OLD ) spoons, spam cans, old nails and bullet shells of many types.

This is about the best of me hunting skills.

Now I'm looking for any advice as where to hunt for treasure:) I have easy access to sounding places in orange county and Lake Havasu. I was wondering If anyone can at least point me in the right direction on where I might have some luck on some buried treasure.

By the way, for all you thrill seekers. When i was at the mines in AZ ( located off standard wash about 14miles form the road) I was back in the mine ( it extends about 25 yards ) with the metal detector and got a really loud reading which spanned about 3' x 2' so i started to dig and about 4-6 inches down was what seemed to Be metal square thing. I tried for at least a hour to move it but got no where. ( never found out what it was ) I returned about 2 months later just to get the the spot ( Beautiful place ) and the mine entrance was covered up with rocks and dirt. I'm not sure if this was on purpose or mother nature. The mine is really stable inside and aw some to look around in ( if you can ever get back there now ) there is many many other shafts in the same area. If anyone wants better directions let me know .

Thanks for all your help!!!
