I got a chance to go out for a couple of hour hunt at the school field I've been hunting the last few weekends. The field always gives up plenty of clad coins plus a few surprises. The first surprise was a 50 caliber casing from the St. Louis Ordinance Plant.

The second surprise was a Cub Scout bola.

The third surprise is the biggest ring I have ever seen. It is a ring from the 1930's from a side show attraction from the Barnum Bailey Circus. The ring is a promotion for Jack Earle the Texas Giant. The ring shows he was 8' 6" when actually he was 7' 6". The ring is a size 26.

Thanks for viewing and hope every one has a safe and prosperous New Year.

The Jack Earle ring is really cool. Thanks for sharing!

Those are a couple of nice finds. I always enjoy finding the Neckerchief slides, and that ring is a nice find with some nice history.

Cool ring and bolla, good work.

Thank all of you for the compliments. Found out a lot of history about Jack Earle and the circus.

Love the ring, very interesting find! :occasion14:
