New Years day hunt,my 2 cent's worth!

Had some time New Years day so I went to a teardown where they are widening the highway. I have heard this was an old farmhouse. Five miutes after starting I hit "43 Merc. a good way to start. Soon after, I had another merc, a "44" this time. Hit a few "wheaties" in between. About a foot from the last wheat I had a different kind of signal, the ground was packed from heavy equipment,so the dirt was coming out in chunks. I flipped a few chunks out and I saw what I thought was a nickel laying on the edge of the hole. I picked it up and brushed it off a little and holy smokes, I almost fell over! I was holding an "1865" 2 center! I have been detecting for a little over a year and I never thought I would find something like this. I'm still pretty excited about it! Ended up with the 2 center, the two mercury's and four wheats,a 1913D,1918,1940 and a 1944. A nice way to start the year.

That's a really nice 2 cent piece.

I've seen them come out of the ground like that. But not very often.
