This would be cool a Vlf/PI. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1474373990.336824.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1474374015.546698.jpg

Super Hybrid Metal Detector! Is it possible that this will be the replacement for both the Beach Hunter ID and the Surfmaster PI? That would be awesome!

From what I read so far it may be the mixing of two PI methodologies, one method from the recent granted patent to Whites of half sine wave VLF circuitry that has less media mineralization influence (through PI like data generated) where the combination produces a objective ratio of VLF pseudo-PI to PI to null permeability influence on inductance.

So far I do not see "prior or similar art" in the patent literature: Whites may be the Intellectual Property leader in a possibly high utility technology for detecting targets within a wide range of formerly problematic media/soils/saltwater/etc.

The old Whites dfx has a mixed mode setting. It runs discrimination and all metal mode simultaneously.

Thank for the info! Post anything else you guys find. :)

Hi; A detector like that would become a God in the detecting field. Especially if it would Auomatically block out EMI interference by switching Frequencies Automatically without affecting the overall Sensitivity, Depth and VDI. I can hardly wait for it to hit the Market. THAT"S when we would know the real results. In the Field. Not in Manufacturer Hype. The old saying is: The proof is in the pudding. That would be true in tis case. We await. What say ye Folks?? PEACE:RONB

Wonder if this technology will be used on a more industrial type of detector rather than replacing a current consumer series. Either way, it would be really interesting to see this technology in action out in different soil types.
