Assays can still be useful to help show what is in a lode rock sample. Finding some colors is a start.Your gonna have a lot more to do than surface sampling if you wanna know what your deposit gonna yield. Better start drillin.
Anyways all i wanted to see was one of those crushed pans you are talkin about.
Who cares about assays we aint minin your stuff. we just wanna see the dadgum colors in a pan Good buddy.

The question how much per ton is something else. The "Fire assay" will give some idea of this and is a excepted method to show others.
The values can always "Pinch out / cut off" at any time in a given "Discovery vein". It is up to nature on this.
