Good Morning everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bruce and i currently live in Charlotte Hall, MD but will be moving to Sumter, SC within the next few months.
I know I probably don't have as many years' experience as most on this site seeing that I'm only 27 but i've been searching for relics, bottles, gems and gold digging for approximately 8 or 9 years.
Now metal detecting is a fairly new field to me. My father owns a very low end metal detector and I have not had much success with it. I will have to figure out the brand later. I believe he got it for about $100 and I can lay a coin right on the grass and it only "sometimes" picks it up and thats with a low sensitivity.
Any tips for selecting a good metal detector and/or advise on good metal detecting spots in Charlotte Hall, MD or Sumter, SC would be much appreciated.
I would be interested in teaming up to cover more land as well.
