new to Texas

Hi, I am new to Texas currently living in Austin. Interested in areas near that are legal to explore. Any suggestions? I also have property between Camp Wood and Barksdale off of Hwy 335. Anything in that area. Thanks for any suggestions. Can't wait to explore this great state!
