yep helo, one good tip is this: not being ugly, BUT, get out in the woods to learn how to dig w/out messing thing up. cover your dig holes, then proceed to the farmhouse if you have permission to dig there. if you are new to detecting, the care of the property, or not caring will determine if you get a return visit.
some folks don't like the yard with holes nor dead grass 10 days later. i saw one video once that demonstrated cutting a plug where the target was but he left some of the roots uncut so the plug would have a chance to grow back. other than that, have a ton of fun with a lot of silvers.

Hit the walkways from the barn to the house in the driveway for sure and around the front door if there is dirt around the front door. Also around any big trees and like the first comment make sure and they to leave the property better than is was when you came if you can.

Search for the old privy and if they allow you dig it up, there's no telling what kind of goodies are buried there. Also if there's an old cellar that would be a fantastic place to look. If you're searching for caches one place many people never think to look is in the gas tank of any old cars that may be on the property. Keep in mind that if there's a possible buried cache it will almost always be in the line of view of whoever buried it (visible from a window, or right outside of a window or visible from the front porch) One other good place to look is around loose fence post. Good luck

Start out with the basic settings. Spend time with new machine. Let us know how you do. Oh, you have 2 pockets, so when someone ask you what you found......you get the idea.
