Hey guys
I did a little research in my area and found an old building the city tore up to turn into apartments. The old building that was there I believe first opened in 1900 so it has potential.
As you guys know, my brother found a barber half yesterday so I wanted to find something to match him.
Yesterday I go to this place and only got about 30 minutes in before it started down pouring, and not wanting to risk the life of my detector, decided to pack things up. I found a 57 wheat before I left.
Today I get there, way nicer weather and have all the time in the world. This spot is in a pretty bad area of town so I had to be on edge of my toes in case of the occasional hoodlum. Fortunately there was nothing more than people just giving me weird stares or looks of interest.
I get there today and my first dig is a 1920-s wheat so a good sign! About 30-45 minutes later, I get an 81-82 silver dime signal about an inch down but keeping in mind my brother found a silver half an inch down yesterday! I dig up what I though at first was a smushed mercury dime, but actually turns out to be a catholic silver pennant! The back of it says sterling.
I might try and get back out 1 more time before they start the construction on it.
