Well, maybe not quite a record but I can't recall a single hunt where I've found this many coins...even a silver! Everything from George II to an Indian Head. A couple are in decent condition and the 10 cent would be mint if it hadn't come out of the ground. Also got a few buttons, an ink well and a handfull of relics including a nice crotal bell and what may be a black powder measure. The tiny porcelain baby is beyond small...

The best of the day was chatting with the land owner who gave me lot's of intel for future hunts. Fun day!

That is the mother of all hunts! Even 2 reins guides! If you divided your finds into thirds, I would be quite happy with a hunt producing that amount.

Totally awesome! I love the "in situ" picture of the coin in the ground. That gets the adrenaline goin. :occasion14:

Yeah, I was pretty happy to get the matching set of rein guides...now to come up with something to do with them.

When I saw it I had visions of Spanish Silver so wanted to document the find...still pretty happy with the 10 cent!

Congrats!
Only guessing..the nozzle looking piece could be from a shot snake/pouch for lead shot.
The tiny figurine resembles one from a Creche.

A little research finds that the porcelain doll is called a Frozen Charlotte. German made, Victorian era.

That's what they say about records they meant to be broken!
Your eyeball finds I like , the baby and the ink bottle!
Coins ain't too shabby either, the 10 cents and all those coppers!

Well done!!

Whoa, that is a good hunt! Nice variety of old coppers, and that Vicky dime is super sweet.

I was just telling the Patriot earlier that finding 1700s sites are getting much tougher here, but there's no end to the token era ones, like you just hunted, and that's not a bad thing at all. A key date dime in that condition would blow away a 1 real. I haven't dug a Victoria dime in over 10 years. :)

That's alot of keepers! The 1882 Silver Victoria dime looks amazing! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

The site I was digging was from 1783...but was in occupation until the end of the 1800s when they moved the house closer to the road. I figured with that date I had a good chance at Loyalist targets. May still...half the site is still covered in beans so I'll be back when the beans are gone.

Happens all the time here on sites that continued on... tough to find the older targets. In many cases they just don't seem to be there, and they likely aren't for whatever reason. I do see you have at least one George copper in there.

Man o man!!! Fresh turf!!!! Congrats and good luck on your new permission!!! Looks like your going to make a killing for sure. Good luck!!!!
