Decided to pick up another long handle sand scoop different design than my punched hole aluminum scoop. This one should flow sand better and is made out of Stainless steel it is re-enforced for foot use to push into the sand and has a 40" handle. I added the Stouts back saver handle and a small Stainless clip to rest it on my belt hook taking the weight of it when walking I have my other scoop set up this way too ( This set up works great as I just rest the handle and clip on the belt hook and lightly support it with my free hand on or by the handle. All the weight is removed when walking with the scoop and it is very balanced) I also added one magnet in the back of the scoop basket on top of a small S/S clip I had laying around ( This kept the magnet flat level and secure and still allows plenty of sand flow around it)

I got the scoop on E-Bay from borderlineengineering.com It is well made and the owner is a cool guy and he will build it anyway you want you just got to call him, cost was $135.00

I am looking forward to trying it out soon.

Happy Hunting To All,

Setup looks nice. I like the wire mesh one. I bet the sand rips right through

sponge using smoke signals.

great for sand - never try in rocks
you get a large rock under that mesh and decide to pry - it will cave it

Thanks for the tip CASPER-2,

I will make sure to use this scoop for that, ( a rocky beach application )
Take Care, :occasion14:
