Hi everyone. We went to the park last weekend and found 50cents. Of course Brenna my little girl spent that on the crane machine at wal-mart. But it was worth it we have so much fun doing this. We did find an interesting spot in our yard. We got a singnal and dug found a few coins and then no signal , a couple days later went back to the very same spot and more coins. Kept digging and kept finding more coins. nothing to old though. I thought this was neat. I can't wait until the corn fields around our house are down so we can check them out. Welcome. My two children live in Indiana.
As you are finding out, most finds will be junk or clad. But, you never know when you might hit the big one.
Maybe you can get your daughter interested in arrowheads, living around so many cornfields. Newly ploughed fields in the midwest are great places for relics. Have fun with the kid.
