All Treasure Hunting
Bought a Tesoro Cibola based on research and funds. First outings were a lot of trash and a few recent coins. Found a patch of land that looked like an old homestead. Gate was open so entered, After discovering foundations of demolished home, decided to detect. Lots of hits that were not identifiable. 30 minutes in, 1944 wheat penny. Immediate excitement. Truck drove in during hunt. Drove over and introduced myself. Asked if owner and yes. Asked for permission to hunt in future. Granted. I'm hooked. Awesome!

mrtfb,
Welcome the the "Net". It would do you good to read the Metal detectorist's rules
ALWAY"S ask permission before you start digging on another persons property. Thats
a good way of getting banned from their property and there friends! You were lucky
you could of been arrested or worse, I shoot and ask later. It hurts us all, there is a code of conduct listed around here somewhere, I always think of how would I feel
And try to treat people with the same respect that I give and demand in return.
PLEASE do not take this post negatively, Just trying to save you some heart aches in
the future. It is an "Awesome Hobby" and for someone with a love of History as it
sounds like you have, It can and will lead to some amazing discoveries,..........HH

You have a good machine and now it will be just a matter of time. Good luck and happy hunting.
