After reviewing many quality posts on TN, as a beginner I have selected a Fisher F2 and Dues RCWS4. The F2 for a partner or land owner.

Nothing yet other than making sure they are operational.

I plan to custom program the Deus and start with two programs after reading programming posts by whom I regard as expert Deus users here on TN.

Research into area sites to MD has begun. Then it's off to learn the Deus and digging in dirt, with patience.

Have fun and good luck :icon_thumright:

Digging up pull tabs shouldn't be any worse than tee box drives where the golf balls sails deep into the woods or water hazard. :hello:

That's a heck of a comparison. But if your accustomed to losing a gross of balls to hit 9 holes then "Yeah" it's no worse.

good luck. the learning curve on the Deus is not real bad. once you understand the programs and how they work it is a breeze.
just remember that when you change the reactivity your silencer will also change. you will have to manually set the silencer.
you will lose a lot of depth if not.

good luck and congrats.

Ha. I can see where you are coming from and that is exactly where I came from to the hobby. Ironically, however, a pristine pull tab is the one thing that still fools me with the Deus. Or should I say, that I have figured out how to differentiate iron junk, tin foil, nails, and even the dreaded bottle cap from a legit target. But I will have to dig up every stinkin' great sounding pristine (i.e., unbent and not a beaver tail) pull tab because they sound just like a nickel or...wait for it... small gold ring. I will rarely if ever pass on a sweet sounding 52 to 54 TID number even though 95% chance it is a pull tab because this thing rang up just like a pull tab also:

Vferrari,
It's that 10% that we all hope for...

Ok, I'll change mine and say it's that 5% that we all hope for...:icon_thumleft:

I changed it to 95% to discriminate out the nickels. ha
