Decided to take my new Garret out on its 2nd hunt today (7 hrs) hit a location I will refer to as the "Bathhouse", while I nailed $6.46 in clad and a few oddities, my biggest surprise is the amount silver I found...

First Silver was this 1943 Merc that's in spectacular condition for being in the ground for over 70 years

Then I nailed a few oddities...

Care for a Fitch & Cornwell 146 year old mint, you know its "For the breath"

What I think is a Clicquot Champagne bottle top?

Some creepy metal piece..

...as daylight is diminishing, I got this solid hit at 5-6 inches..

Silver in the hole..turned out to be 3 Morgans and 3 Peace Dollars...also oddly a 1960 Ben

after a little bit of dusting off..here are the morgans

Heading out again today to the location, and I am also hitting a colonial encampment in Bergen County too...maybe just maybe I can find some colonial copper

Good luck to you!! Bring back something old, and something shiny

Just outstanding!!!! Fantastic finds, that must have gotten the old heart rate up seeing all that big silver!!

Great silver spill! I think your "creepy metal piece" is a broken antique comb.

Thats a "HUGE SILVER HIT" there !!! Maybe the creepy piece is part of a fan handle ?? Such a great hunt it must surely have made your heart race pulling all that silver out of the earth !!! Still looking for my first silver dollar here after 30 + years, really have not given up yet will keep trying as often as weather and circumstances permit detecting !!

Thanks to all! Didn't fair to to we'll yesterday. .bathhouse was way to packed, so hit the British dragoons encampment site, nothing except this buckle which doesn't seem like a period piece.

Wow, That's amazing, I wonder what you were thinking when you heard that there was STILL a signal in the hole after already removing 3 silvers

To be honest I was cropping my pants hoping that there was number 7 or 8 in there..I guess I can't get to greedy
