new here

forgot to mention..on our farm in ms., indians used to live there and there is a old indian brick house thing..ive never looked into it either.

Hi Ihatemels, you sound like you have some great territories to cover.....for digging and detecting. The history thru Ms is wonderful...no telling what you will run into once you start to search. What part of Ms are you in? River very deep? Good luck

its around Natchez MS...and the river is deep in parts...

Hi ihatemels,
Out of curiosity, what is it about mels that you hate? And what are mels? ;D

I'm just up the road from you a few miles. Well, 80 or so. You've got some interesting historical territory around you. I would love to find a good spot to dig around Natchez. That's one of my favorite towns. That little waterway that runs through your farm wouldn't be the Mississippi, would it? :D

Welcome to TN!

Hello, and welcome toTN. Now that cold weather is starting to settle in,you can do a lot of research about your area. That's about the best way to find anything.About the Indian Camp(?) Thats up to you about MD there.Just be respectful. If you accidentally dig a grave site, replace everything just the way you found it.I could go on and on,but I think you get the point.

well i dont like this one girl named mellissa no more, i called her mel, so thats wut came to my mind . and no the MS doesnot run through our preoprty, its a creek off the homochito river which comes from the MS i think... just wondering if im wasting my time searching for gold....
