My husband and I found this on the St. john's River yesterday. Anybody know the age and what it was for? Thank you

It’s a buckle of some sort. Can you give us some reference on size? Either take a pic with a ruler beside it or something of known size (quarter, dollar bill, etc)

Interesting design. It would help to know context such as where you found it, does/did the site have a dwelling/building(s), what did you find nearby? Even posting old maps & aerial photos of the aerial might help.

We found it on the banks of the St. johns river in Geneva, Fl
