New headphones for old Whites 6000D series 2?

Don't know a thing about ohm impedence, but Radio Shack can fix you up with a light weight set of headphones. If your machine doesn't have a volume control be sure to get the headphones with an in-line volume control. Also you will need a 1/4" plug adapter. If you machine is set up for stereo sound, you will need a plug adapter made for a stereo unit or it won't work. In other words a mono plug won't work on a detector with a stereo plug. If in doubt go look 'em over. JIM

cmbb, you might check out Kellyco's Accusound for $59.95. Catalog #801-132795
The impedance is 90 ohms with a frequencey range of 17-20,000 Hz. It has a sensetivity of 100dB/1mW and has a lifetime warranty along with individual vol. controls. I believe that they come with a 1/8" jack and have a 1/4" adaptor. Whether they're stereo/mon switchable, I'm not sure.
Just a possibility.
