Okay two months into our new hobby and we could not be more excited about it.
Due to my other hobby (work) and the heat I have not got out as much as I would have liked to, but getting out now and then for more hunting treasure's. POOH HAPPENS!
So today I got to get out for an hour or so, hit a park right down the street from the office.
Now my new found friend "Bill" in Golden Colorado told me this morning it is a great park to hunt and learn how "FINDO" (Ace 250) works. Hey the guys been doing this metal detecting thing forever he should know. So I head on over to the park with only an hour to hunt. I will have to get the pictures uploaded when I get to the house.
Here is my hours worth of fun finds.
1 - 1965 Silver Quarter
1 - 1952 s Lincoln Cent
1 - 1953 d Lincoln Cent
1 - 1964 d Silver Dime
9 - Memorial Lincoln Cents (some are in bad shape for sure)
1 - Dime
1 - Piece of a silver ear ring
14 - Pieces of trash.

Have to head back there very soon. (like after my other hobby time today)
Thanks Bill you were right about the park!

Just want to thank every one here on all the help and encouragement on this site.
Thank you, thank you and thank you!
You folks all rock!
What a gret site!
Make it a great day!

Nice bunch of coins for an hour hunt. Keep digging!

Nice hunt and it looks like you're really getting the hang of it. By the way, the 1965 quarter isn't silver. 64 was the last year. Way to go and keep em coming!

Yeah, Bill's a nice guy. I was in his shop recently, and I told him I was thinking about driving down to New Mexico to go nugget hunting. He said, "Why waste time and gas driving when you can find it right here in Colorado?" So he proceded to tell me where to go just two hours away, and you know what? I did find gold!

Pentico, way to go man. Welcome to the hobby! Sure beats your other hobby by miles. hehe Nice batch of coins you got going there. HH and keep it going.

Nice older coins you found. Be sure and hammer that place when you have more time. I'm sure there is probably more where that came from.
