New Guy in Town

I am new to the Canton, OH area and looking to see if there are any prospecting groups or clubs around here. My wife and I have are LDMA members and have metal detected for many years in California, as well as gold prospecting out there, and now we live here and want to continue our sport. I would be interested in any places to metal detect, and to find out what the laws are around Ohio and neighboring states if anyone has that information. John W.

Welcome to Tnet! sorry I don't have info for your area, but go to Ohio state govt page & you might be able to find it. That's what I did here in MO. Took awhile but I found it.

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Ohio for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

I found a few there when I visited this year. One in is Cleveland, close to you. City parks seem to be off limits, but state parks are ok. There is exceptions to this so I did not take my detector as I was confused.
