New from Northern Nevada

Hello and thank you,

Just a quick intro, I am new to the site and am learning as much as possible about gold prospecting. I am not limited to it but that is my primary hobby. I am new to it and slowly getting equipment and knowledge. I have been panning and sampling from my local river(Carson River), and came up with a couple of little flakes but nothing to brag about.

I am looking forward to read post and learning more, and I am always up for meeting and helping others.

The best gold you will find higher up the bank where the river was many moons ago. Check the inside bends and look for exposed boulders and dig around them down to bedrock.
