I love doing this just to see what people drop and don't care about. Anytime I go through a drivethru I open my door and pick up the change. I put the change in a altoids box on the inside of my car door. I started keeping track last week and even hit drivethrus I don't order food at. :laughing9:. To date in 7 days and 14 drivethrus(No I don't eat that much fast food) I have gotten over $4 bucks No Silver. I am going to keep a 30 day total and let you guys in on the totals.

You might also want to keep an eye out for paper bills that have blown into the bushes or into the street. People drop all sorts of stuff and don't bother to pick it up because they assume that it is gone. I would think that instead of going through the drive thru that it might be easier just to walk up to the window when they aren't busy. For example, I could probably go out at sun up in my area and hit a dozen drive thrus in about 10 minutes. After all, Columbus Ohio is the fast food capital of the world. ;D

It sounds like an interesting experiment. Keep us posted.

Then take the change that you find and turn it into a silver eagle.......Matt

i used to do this when i worked at McDonalds back in highschool. id always end up taking money in the drivethrough and when we werent busy id duck out and grab up all the change that had accumulated throughout the day

seems to me you would go in the hole with the cost of gas. :icon_scratch: :dontknow:

I think that is also true for many regular coin roll hunters.

I also check for change but only when going thru the joint to order --otherwize the gas cost is counter productive * unless your in a "company type " car / truck were it is not coming out of your pocket.

Lol. Don't you know your supposed to leave that for the bums.

well after being "forced" to medically retire due to copd , after 27 years "on the job" working on asbestosis loaded old rust bucket ships -- I was put out on a $750 a month SIU union disability pension ( REALLY $650 because theytake $100 a month if you want to keep any medical coverage at all --wow 650 a month , why thats almost $23 bucks a day to live on)-- plus glasses , dental and several other "coverages" you had while working to keep you "healthy to work" are now "dropped" since your now a "retiree' class person ) and although declared "totally and permantly unfit" by the union -- it only took me a mere 3 1/2 year of fighting to finally getting my social security "disability" settlement award--so now I guess I'm offically out of work for life * --would that quailfy me as a "out of work" bum? ;D

One time I told my then 7yo he had 20 sec and let him open the door get out and scoop. He thought he was in coin heaven.
