New detector and free at that!!

My grandfather recently passed. Was over visiting and noticed where they had been cleaning out a old whites detector. Asked about it. My grandmother said I could just have it. It doesn't work tho. Think I could clean it up and send it off to get fixed? If so what do h think it would cost? Would like to get it running again.

IMO, you are better off saving the $ it would cost to fix it and getting a lightly used Ace 250 or Bountyhunter or something like that.
