NEW CONTEST

More and more of my friends are losing their homes in this massive fire. Fortunately they are all safe, but they have lost everything. I couldnā€™t imagine knowing that the fire was headed my way and that it was imminent that my house was going to be burned down. Itā€™s sad.

If I live in Ca. I would borrow a large moving truck and move everything out of the house and move out of state until the fire is over or never move back. They have very large fires and lack of water every year. Best of luck to all including pets and wild animals.

I know that water is a precious resource in California. It would be an expensive project but installing pipelines from the Pacific Ocean to inland pumping stations would provide firefighting capabilities for years to come. Maybe they could get the Hollywood types to chip in.

I released 8 birds yesterday from the Shop * Dave parking lot. A woman came over and told me how cool she thought it was. We got to talking and she told me that her and her husband are retired teachers and own a 300 acre farm, just outside of Port Allegheny. She invited me to release my birds on her property.
I accepted but you know I'm thinking Metal Detecting.

You know what Tippy is thinking, she wants to know where the farm is for free food. Good night while I am Last. The fires are still burning.

i was Last once

So far itā€™s burned over 167,000 acres (thatā€™s roughly 260 square miles) and over 45,000 people have been evacuated from their homes. Still 0% containment and 14,000 structures are threatened with hundreds of homes already lost.

Itā€™s now over 175,000 acres and has just become the second largest fire in Californiaā€˜a recorded history.
