New beach

I went to a new beach today. Well not really a new one because I've been there many times before but never in the water. I was in the water for about 45 minutes this morning but didn't get one hit. Not one. It was not pleasant in the water today so I went up in the sand and did a little better. I got an earring, a watch without the band and it is rusted real bad, 4 golf balls and 33 cents in clad. Oh well there is always tomorrow!

My daughter came over and gave me flowers for Mother's day and while I was talking to her it suddenly dawned on me that I could hunt her yard. DUH! Her house was built in 1969 so surely I can find an old coin or two there. Who knows? If I do then I am going to ask my son-in-law who just lives down the street from her if I can hunt their yard too.

All in all - I'll take it. It was a good day.

good hunting Mumzie, hey, I know a fellow that sells golf balls on ebay ( he just collects em as he finds them) it is a good thought too...cool on hunting your daughters and sons too.. go for it.

Sounds like you had a decent day there...congrats on the leads on the yards...that would be a cool spot to go on the days you don't really want to get in the water. I am looking forward to seeing what you find there!

Yes Mumszie - yards are a good place to find some nice stuff - I found a Gold plated ring last week in
my next door neighbors yard - Cavedweller

Don't be too quick to give up on the water, (of course unless it's too rough) that's where the good stuff is. Also I like the fact that the deeper I go out the less junk targets I have to dig. When you are a ways out in the water you will find many less targets but the ones you do find will be good ones.
I don't want to hear a lot of junk targets just so I have something to dig.........

BTW what did the golf balls register??

Funny man FloridaBill I have a special setting on my machine that registers golf balls, base balls & soft balls. I seem to find an awful lot of these. Heh heh
