What have you been catching?

Puppy drum, flounder and a lot of pompano. Besides the fishing, detecting is pretty good on that beach and not just for coins or jewelry but for relics as well. Fort Macon state park is very close by. I've seen several CW relics come off that beach in the past. I have not hunted it in a while, but plan on hitting it pretty hard this year! 8-)

The surf fishing should really start to pick up down here as well. Lots of baitfish schooled in the shallows and the gamefish usually come in with them.

Back in the day we used to drive on all the beaches. Soon you'll need a permit to wear flip-flops.

Yes! I have been fishing as well. Still waiting for some more sand to get off the beach.

was out there this past Friday. It was just a fishing trip, but the sand is just starting to wash out pretty good! Normally I'll start hunting the beach hard after thanksgiving unless we have a good coastal storm roll in. Saturdays are for the beach hunts and Sundays are for the in the woods relic hunts,at least till hunting season is over!:laughing7:

Driving on the beach, at least once a month I see one of these, flowmaster-deep in sand....

Will they extend that down to SC so's Jim dosen't have to walk so far? :tongue3: :tongue3: :laughing7:

Sure wish it did! I'd pick him up and any body else that wanted to go. It would be one heck of a beach hunt! Start in N.C. and finish in F.L.:laughing7:
