The question has been asked many times here. It is something that was sold as a gimmick. It is worthless. Do alittle search on here.
 

The '86 commem is The Statue of Liberty commem minted that year. I have a gold plated half from the '80's I found a while back with the dates 1964-1984 and Lincoln's face stamped on it. Both coins are clad but the commem might be worth a few dollars depending on condition. I think I've found 4 or 5 of those '86 commem's myself. They seem to be the most common commem's people find but they are still kinda cool to find.

Here's my gold plated half I found a while back, its probably similar to yours except for the Lincoln face stamp (sorry its kinda a bad pic but its gold plated):
