Good morning everyone,
So after having a bad experience this week I was frustrated with my spot being pounded pretty hard for opening my trap. I believe in Karma so I let it go,and my wife said, you always say no one can get it all.Affter getting mulch for our gardens she told me to go back and try it one more time before hay season begins. So I went out, I detected all afternoon, found a few bullets modern, and a modern maxi ball.I was walking out just kinda detecting out,all of the sudden my detector freaked out really high pitch and registered at a solid 93 ,I said well it's a horse shoe.So I dug it,not really thinking it was a good target.OMG It was a silver half dollar.First silver ever, I totally freaked out.lol.I guess me following my analogy was good. Thanks everyone for all the great advice lately.much appreciated 👍

GREAT FIND :) Thanks for posting . Are you using a Deus ?

The best maching I think is the one you COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND no matter what make
I agree,my friend keeps trying to sell me a really expensive unit,he keeps telling me I would find more stuff,IDK I like my Garrett,it's a little heavy but it really has a nice big range.

No I'm actually using a Garrett at pro.I know it isn't the best machine but I really think I have it figured out. I have also come to the conclusion that every out here notches everything out but silver, and I believe that helps me as well.im happy with a Penny lol
Congrats on the half; I have never found a Franklin. I often use the Equinox 800, but I still love my AT Pro and will use it on occasion and as a back up. It is a high quality, simple to use, and effective machine, in my opinion.

Congrats on your silver half. I can't remember the last time that I found a Franklin half.

I know about wanting to give up on permissions, yet I just keep going back thinking there's got to be something good I've missed. Persistence pays off, great job!

That's one of my bucketlisters! Congrats!!

A big congrats on your first Silver Half ! :occasion14:

Speaking from my own experience - Ben Franklin's don't get found all that often.
I dug (11) Waking Liberty Half's before I was able to find my first Ben Franklin.
Found my first one last year - took me (14) years to finally find one.

Great find. I just love those Franklin silvers. Congratulations!

Outstanding! I'll bet it's a 63D, just like me. (born in Denver, 1963)
Congratulations on your first silver
