Gypsy,

that is an easy one.

Its a hollow pointed thing with a half lip on the top.
You would take this and join it to another hollow
pointed thing with a half lip on the bottom.

Boy am I fast with these I.D's. ;D

RIverrat....I will get right on those Id's for you....So far I identified ...Rust hook,rusty ring,rusty metal,rusty iron......

Reddie....Window weights are solid ...or at least the ones I have seen

Sherm....You are a genius

Since this is such a stumper....I will assume it is a rare and valuable item and place it in my Rust Proof Safe until the Museums or LLoyds of London contact me......

Throw some oil on that stuff or it will all be dust soon....We have a pile of it....Lately if it's not identifiable I 'll hang it in a nearby tree....That really starts people to wondering when they happen upon it. I did an old horse shoe once...Later we heard the story of someone finding a horseshoe in a tree..... ;) Amazingly the tree had grown quite a bit and left the shoe hanging up a bit higher,(WONDER HOW THAT GOT THERE) ;) :)
