I went back out to the gravel and dirt parking lot after we had a little rain, figuring I might get enough extra depth to find more. Wow, I certainly wasn't expect this!
Nabbed 1939-s, 1944-s, 1959-d dimes, a 1943-p nickel and a copper St. Christopher medal.
But...
OTWBTTC I got a nice clean signal in the pull tab range (28 on the Legend) and kazaam, gold ring number 8 this year! It's a 14k wedding band with inscriptions inside reading "BAV to AMD and 5-5-57".

In places like that where there's not much trash I use Gold Field. Seems like it gives me a little more depth.

Good find on the gold!

The ‘KSK’ mark is for Kritzer, Stern & Klein (aka K.S.K. Jewelry Co., Inc.) of 15 W. 28th St. New York, NY. That particular mark was first used in 1946, although not formally registered as a trademark until 1963.
Cool, thanks Red!

That's awesome, my son is heading down to Southern Arizona for a road trip and to get warm. Any suggestions for camping/ detecting in the Backcountry? That sure is a lot of gold for this early in the year!!
I use Historic Aerials and old maps to locate what looks likely. I actually hit on a producing spot only 5% or less of the time. Sometimes, like this place, I don't think anyone else has hunted.

That’s incredible to find that many gold rings already this year!
I’ve been detecting almost 3 years and still have yet to find a piece of gold & I got buckets of pull tabs for my efforts…lol.
I mainly hunt old home sites & don’t do much park hunting. Not sure if that has anything to do with it?
Keep on keeping on man!
