Need warranty on new HF coil

I have a defective cover. I have to squeeze open to the limits the clip and then force it on. Once on it does not seat all the way down, so sometimes it charges and some it dont. The clip does not close on the bottom of the coil where the tabs are......

Gonna call Mo Monday, sucks but I am not going to break clips to try and maybe charge this thing....


I only heard of one other person having same issues so it must be limited.

Huh...can you post a pic of the HF coil with cover along side a regular coil and cover? Is the cover just thicker?

I've been using this from Detecting Doodads to charge my coils. It's a lot sturdier than the clip.

That's just a polymer screw that you can tighten if needed to prevent the thing from moving.

I actually have a similar issue on my regular 9" coil that I've been dealing with for over a year now! I have been meaning to call in the cover under warranty, but just haven't yet. My charging clip slips very easily on my 11" coil. But my 9" coil cover edges flare out and makes it really hard to get the clip on. They flare out so much that the coil cover was actually just falling off while hunting. So last summer I had to electrical tape the cover onto the coil to keep it from falling off! So that 9" coil cover was not molded properly. My 11" cover is great... its hard to remove the cover and tight around the edges so the charging clip slips right on very nicely.
