Need the help of tnet

I found this painting obviously most will know what it is. There is a marking on back in left corner and a name in the right M. Crider. Again obviously not the artist. In my opinion a framer wouldn’t write on the artwork itself. And along with this piece was the sailor painting signed P. Crider.
So looking for opinions on what the numbers could be and why the name on the back......Measures 20 by 26 inches

You mentioned it .... but I find it interesting that one says M. Crider and the other P. Crider in significantly different handwriting, unless the Don Quixote print is a seller's name and inventory number.
