Hello everyone,

I was at a tag sale over the weekend and eyeballed some nearly new doc marten boots for $5 and just happened to be my size perfectly. So I asked the seller about them and he had other boots/shoes and clothing (all in good shape) I brought the $5 boots and asked if he was staying opened till 3pm. he said yes I said i'd swing back around to check the other boots as I wanted to hit other sales in the area...I came back at 2:30 and thankfully the boots were all still there including the clothing..I poked around and found a pair offered him the $5 it was for those boots and he asked if I wanted the entire boot/shoe collection + clothing for $15. I said sure brought home about 5 sweatshirts, couple pairs of jeans and boots/shoes..everything was pretty nice with no major defects, scratches, etc. Of course, I have no purpose to keep these shoes that don't fit me for my feet wont' shrink and most of these clothes are WAY too big for me. I already washed all of them and have them ironed and folded in a rubbermaid box. I'd like to flip them for at least my money back and if I make more then that would be nice but I'm really completely lost when it comes to flipping clothing...Does anyone have any tips/tricks? Anyone flip used clothing here? Can I pick your mind for a few moments lol

look into hi end used clothing resellers, in our area there are several Plato's closets. I dumpster dive the local college town and took in a ton of clothes and made $80 bucks there and the rest are in the yard sale we are having saturday hope to sell more there.

I don't list many clothes, but when I do, the garment needs to be in pristine condition, and have some resale value.

If the item is missing its tags, my personal rule is that it needs to look like it has only been worn once or twice. No stains, fading, rips, or heavy wear.

YMMV.

Post some pics! I could probably give you an idea of what it's worth, be sure to take pictures of the tags. I sell a lot of clothing and I tend to do fairly well with it. Those Doc's would sell very well, $5 is a steal. Also, don't worry if the stuff is big, big clothing actually tends to sell for more than regular sized clothing.

If you are purchasing items to flip, why are you only looking to get your money back? Not trying to be mean or anything, I just think if you are going to start flipping things, you should know that rule #1 is "don't buy items unless you can at least double your money".

To answer your question, many people flip items on ebay, craigslist, amazon, or set up at a flea market.

Ill snap some pics for you baltimore thanks

jerseybean you are hardly mean :) it will take a lot more then that lol...well I got the lot cause even for $15 it is a steal in my eyes. I can always use the clothing for lounging around the house or just a lazy day if need be. I had really no intentions on buying the lot of clothing or shoes..I was content with my docs lol but I couldn't let that deal slide by. and thanks for the answer :)
