I was out hiking along a creek today decided to check the banks. Igot a few samples to back to shop an ran thru my sliuce then panned i found a few gold pieces i beleive when i shock the pan they didnt move but they were small very small .any advise should i go back an dig down in the spot an try again i got alot of quartzs an agates lot of lil rocks with gold specks but they dont flake off any advise would be helpful.

Absolutely ! Go Back and Keep Testing. There are all kind of indicators for locating gold depositions. Black Sand, quartz, serpentine, agates, turqouise, blue colored alluvial soil and rock, ect, ect, ect. But the Best Indicator of all is finding GOLD ! Even rocks with gold specks in them can be extremely valuable. Don't think about extracting the gold, think about a rock like that being polished and set in jewlery. You might want to show some of those rocks to a jewlery maker before you try crushing them or doing anything else to them.
