Need info on US Eagle Pin Tiffany & Co. marked

Hi Everyone,

I am an active metal detector user (M6) but this find wasn't dug.
I am trying to figure out the year this pin was likely produced and if it is considered hard to find.
Any info appreciated! It is marked Tiffany & Co. which makes it interesting to me. It is approximately 1.5" x 2".

1902-23. I'm basing the date on the star pattern above the head of the eagle.

Agreed,I think they are fairly common as I have seen several dug in the last year

I saw some gold plated Great Seal buttons made by Tiffany but Ill have to search for the link. I think its like sweetheart jewelry but Tiffany had something to do with the Great Seal design in the late 1800's.

The Tiffany company first became “Tiffany and Co” when Charles Tiffany purchased the company and began running it in 1853. Throughout the years, Tiffany has been an integral part of the United States' history, starting with its involvement in the Civil War. In 1862, Tiffany's supplied surgical instruments, swords and other supplies to the Union Army (a far cry from their expensive jewelry line!). The company also revised the Great Seal of the United States in 1885, and created a pattern of china for First Lady Bird Johnson in 1968.

It appears to be a makers mark that they used during the time. I base this off of research I have done and that emblem appears to be consistent with some older pieces....
