That’s cool. It looks to me like a ‘milagro’ (meaning ‘miracle’ in Spanish) and it looks pretty old.

These were often in silver and purchased in churches or from nearby street vendors in Mexico and the southern United States as votive offerings. Frequently they’re in the form of a man or woman kneeling in prayer, but also representations of various disembodied body parts for which the purchaser hoped to have divine healing. I’ve seen legs, arms, and even genitalia!

Although sometimes worn as pendants, they were more frequently nailed through the loop to wooden boards at altars and shrines within churches and cathedrals… with similar expectations to the tradition of lighting a candle.

These ones are in the San Miguel Mission of Santa Fe in New Mexico:
