Found these items all in the same place and can’t seem to identify the circled items. The next pics are another unknown that seems to have the name pye then the letter O and USA at the bottom. I found a list of soldiers from the CW that includes some men with the last name pye. Any help with Id of these 02FFC840-6B44-4438-A9BE-05A1650EE9F8.jpeg777481E6-2A0B-41FA-8592-73F5EBC207C1.jpeg9B3113DA-4813-49AB-85F9-0BDDC9216703.jpeg82944C19-2112-4906-A062-9B2AFC7C7A6A.jpeg069706B5-E751-4A97-B824-1BEA60136126.jpegis greatly appreciated.

The two pieces circled are called "carriage knobs," which were used to fasten the curtains in buggies, wagons, etc.
The lettered piece is harness hardware, but I don't recall the proper name for it at the moment.

Thanks for the info. We suspected we had found a road bed and that supports that more I believe.
On the harness hardware, were those usually personalized or are those letterings typical?

A great haul Mr , the- mad-cladder.
Anything Brass is great imo , & those 2 drops are nice as well.

Great finds.Congrats :icon_thumright:

Nice finds. I've found those knobs in camps before. I actually saw them in the Gettysburg battlefield museum. They were tacked into a Confederate saddle.

That piece with the initials on it might be the hole cover for a padlock.

It should be flat, if that's what it is.

The ones I see say "GR" for George Rex... King George.

It seems to be bent on a perfect 90. I could be wrong but I think that’s how it was made.

I am not convinced that it is key hole cover either. It appears to say "USA" on it, that also confuses me. Good luck brother!
