wow! as i was bringing down my detector from the car, i can't resist the urge! the lawn was in front of me ;D so i said I wont be long, first hit was a penny! i said, cool!!there is something here then!

then i tried diggin as soon as the detector found sumthin.
i got this Abraham Lincoln coin, doesnt look like a coin from the mint. More of an appreciation coin ??? I'aammm not really sure but here it is... any clue what it is :-\? Thanks Y'all!!!

Nice Find! they are some type of commemorative metal, not sure if the us mint struck it or a private minting company.
 

I'd have to agree with Jake, it's some type of commemorative token,,, it's in great shape too,,, WTG!!!
Maybe someone out here will beable to give you more detailed info about it...

Nice token. I believe Shell gas stations or one of the gas station chains gave these out when buying X amount of gas at one time (back in the 1960s I believe) - it was a series of presidential tokens as part of a promotional deal.. I have found a few different pieces over the yrs. Lincoln, Roosevelt, and a few I don't remember at the moment!

Nice coin, I agree with Lonewolfe. There was a gas station in the early 90s that gave a presidential commemorative coin with a minimum gas purchase. HH Art...
