Need Help

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out which Keene sluice to get, but I'm not sure which is the right one. I was wondering if there was any other company that makes better sluices also, maybe something a little cheaper but still works as good as the Keenes. Which Keen is better for the American River? The A51A (Super mini), A52 or the A51?

Look under the sluicing column. There are many to choose from. I have a riffle/ carpet style and am saving up for a bazooka. I would read the available posts to make a decision.

How are the bazookas? I have heard great things about them. Still not sure how they work but I am thinking of maybe considering the super mini bazooka

I use the Keene 52 and the modifications needed to fix flow problems make me wonder how this thing got through R&D. The unit is asolutely indestructible, so two thumbs up for quality. Of course gold retention is most important and ease of cleanup second. I have to say that theres nothing better than a modified Keene. I'll do a photo shoot of the mods later.

Throw away the flat carpet they ship with the Keene and replace it with some quality miner's moss or another quality upgrade--stick something in it that will give the gold a place to hide and get trapped.

Skip all the fiddly modifcations and the learning curve and just get a Bazooka Goldtrap PRospector. No classifying, quick cleanup and great fines retention. the easy button!

Ya that bazooka looks very simple and easy to use, I will definitely consider it rather than buying a keene then having to put more money into it by buying miners moss. Ill probably just do that then.

Huh? I think you mean the Supermini. Yes, I do and quite a few others here too. you can do a search in TNet for "Supermini" to see all the discussion on this useful tool.
