Need help with Karat marking on gold ring. It's an anchor and a K

Found this small gold ring today at a local park. It's yielded stuff from the 1800s to today. Looks like an angled anchor, and then the letter K. Can anyone identify what the anchor stands for? I'm thinking this ring is older. Thanks for any help you can provide!

From Antique Jewelry Investor:

"an anchor tipped to the right and the letter K" used by Ripley-Howland Mfg Co. on 10K Gold Rings, Manufacturing Jewelers, Boston, MA, and New York, NY, USA - ca 1887 - 1912.

General concensus is 10k.

Nice ring!
