Need help with a old button (flat irish?)

Not sure what the heck this is. It looks to be a Irish harp, with no markings on the back. Could this be some sort of Military button?
Take a look at the pics, ANY help would be very appreciated!

I have no idea, other than a contemporary button off someone's cardigan :tongue3:
But; if you could give some idea of size; what material is it? How was it found? Any local history that might help? all that information might excite my research gland.

I agree with the above, its a modern civilian blazer (or the like) button.

Well its the size of a quarter roughly, was found about 4 inches down in one of Wisconsins oldest fair grounds. There are so many events and shows held there it could be literally anything. It was found in one of the high traffic areas of the grounds where they also have vendor booths and the likes. I this its made of brass, I really dont want to scratch it up to find out but since you guys think its modern, I suppose a little scratch wont hurt it.

Instead of banging your head why don't you tell us whats is in it & explain your reasons. The construction & metal type screams modern to me.
