It is an SH 1307 Iranian 100 dinars, which translates to 1928 in our dates, worth about $2 in your condition.

Sag,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but SH1307 should translate to 1889 or 1890 in our dates.
Don.....

That is the AH date. SH is a different calendar. I thought it was an 1889 coin too, but I realized the dinars were copper then, but the SH 1307 were copper-nickel.

So I was slightly understanding about "SH" dates thanks to Don.
Now what is "AH" about???!!!

There are two Islamic (Hijri; or "H") calendars; one is based on the movement of the sun (solar) and noted as "SH"; and the other is based on the movement of the moon; designated "AH". Iran and Afghanistan use the 'SH' calendar while the rest of the Islamic world uses the "AH" calendar. To obtain the Gregorian date (our calendar) from the SH date, simply add 621 or 622. That will produce a 'close enough' date. To obtain the Gregorian date from the AH date, multiply the AH date by 0.97 then add 621 or 622 for a different resulting year.
Don....
