NEED HELP!!PLEASE.2 GERMAN WOODEN FIRGURINES

THESE ARE 2 FIGURINES I FOUND. a OLD MAN AND LADY BOTH CARRYING A WALKING STICK,THE MAN CARRYING AN AXE AND THE LADY LOOKS TO BE CARRYING A BUNDLE OF WOOD ON HER BACK.ON THE BOTTOME OF THE MAN IT SAYS " E.GROB TANN/RHON HANDARBEIT" I LOOKED UP THE WORD "HANDARBEIT" AND ITS GERMAN FOR HANDMADE,BUT IT SAID THE WORD REALLY HASNT BEEN USED OR PUT ON ANYTHING SINCE PRE WAR11,PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY INFO,I CANT FIND THEM ANYWHERE,THANK YOU!

i have 2 very similar but they are Asian, 1 looks like Confucius and the other a monk or something..."Confucius" is carrying a stick in the exact same position as yours...along with his other arm like that.
 

I think those are cool. at an estate sale about 4 years ago I picked up s wooden Hobo figure. On his back there is a leaver, pull it back and his head pulls back and lights a lighter. I don't know how old it ism but its cool. Might be German or Austrian if I remember correctly, but your figures kinda remind me of it.
