I need a little help with info on this piece. Think its a tobacco box? Also says 1901 really faint on the bottom.

hello,i beleive your"HUMIDOR" IS German made approx.1890-1900 designed after a"moor"(moorish decent)the #'s on bottom are a shape/style number not a DATE! the initials are the makers mark,if i can figure it out i'll post...hope this help's OH there is MANY books on tobbacco related collectibles check your local library(ben franklin was a smart man!!!)or bookstore...it's probabbly worth about $85.00-175.00 give or take a few$$$
