Need help IDing this heavy piece

Hi everyone! I found this yesterday in the Mississippi Delta. It's from an old 1800's house site that burned during the late 1800's. I've asked several farmers if they knew what it was and they are stumped. It's not magnetic and very heavy. Thanks!!! Now that's a head scratcher ---------- I wonder if it is off a spinning wheel, or was part of something used in making thread. :icon_scratch:

Not sure what the inside of a hand pump for water would look like but it seems like it could be part of the plunger to draw the water up.

If it wasn't for the lead part,,, it could be a clapper for an old bell ..............I rode around today and looked at 4 different bells and all the clappers had different shapes ..............

I agree with longcut; it looks like part of a bell clapper.
